We work with families to develop and implement a comprehensive program, individualized for each unique child.
Home-based programs are implemented by Behavior Interventionists, under the supervision of the BCBA and Behaviour Consultant. Learning in the home environment is beneficial to the child’s progress as they are taught to use skills in a natural environment. Mastered skills can be generalized across various home, school, and community settings.
We design an individualized Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plan to increase desired behaviour and decrease challenging behaviour. We use a function-based approach, meaning we determine "why" the child is using challenging behaviour and provide individualized strategies to make meaningful change in their daily life.
We provide modeling, coaching, and feedback to parent(s)/guardian(s), aiding in the implementation of behavioural strategies in your home and/or community setting. We will collaborate to determine your high priority goals, focusing on natural daily routines and activities. We provide individualized training, either virtually and/or in-person, to allow you to feel confident while implementing the behaviour support plan with your child. By tracking ongoing data, we will ensure goal process is being made and troubleshoot challenges along the way. We will ensure you feel fully supported in helping your child learn new skills and decrease challenging behaviour.
We offer consultation, assessment, and training for your child's school-based team to ensure generalization of programming across multiple environments. We are able to provide extra support for behavioural, educational, and environmental concerns relating to your child's success and participation in the school setting. Taking a behavioural perspective, we will aim to increase expected classroom behaviour and decrease any problem behaviour that may be interfering with their learning.
