Our approach is grounded in research, focused on understanding and improving behaviour in ways that are meaningful for both children and their families.
It looks at all types of behaviour, helping to understand why certain behaviour happens and how it is connected to the environment. The goal is to create positive changes by carefully observing and measuring behaviour. We use strategies to encourage desired behaviour, teach new skills, and address challenges while helping children apply what they’ve learned in different situations.
This approach has been shown to be effective, especially for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and is designed to support both the child and their family.
We place a strong focus on a child's emotional well-being, prioritizing feelings of happiness, relaxation, and engagement before working on skill development or addressing challenges.
The core of this approach is the understanding that children need to feel safe and comfortable in their environment in order to learn effectively. They are most open to growth when they are at ease and content in their surroundings.
Children who experience emotional distress during therapy are more likely to struggle with learning and may not retain the skills being taught. By creating an environment where children feel happy, relaxed, and connected with others, we support meaningful progress in their development.
